Sports betting created for clubs promoted

More than 3 Football League sides will celebrate the promotion over the bank holiday weekend. It consists in the celebrating of the Championship, the League One and League Two Play-Off.

It means that punters who are expecting to move up a division to be short-lived for the promoted clubs could get odds of around 14/1 on all 3 teams, going back down with William Hill.

The sports betting firm has decided to offer 7/2 that all 3 playoff winners are managing to stay up the next season.

Graham Sharpe, spokesperson for William Hill affirmed that the promotion via the playoffs could be a double-edged sword, with the euphoria disappearing as quickly as it can in a higher division kicks in from day one.

Gillingham faces Shrewsbury in the League Two Play-off final, meanwhile Millwall is taking on Scunthorpe United in the League One event next day. On Monday Burnley playing Sheffield United decides the final promotion place from the Championship.
